Scenario Configuration

This table contains the scenario configurations. Each configuration includes details such as the scenario ID, name, forecast levels for PV, EV, BESS, and demand, as well as the specific forecasts to be used in the scenario.

Note

Note that base scenario is a hardcoded scenario that is always included in addition to any scenarios you provide in the configuration. The base scenario represents the current state of the network without any additional DER uptake, and is used for comparing the impact of other scenarios. Do not name another scenario base as it will cause issues.

Calibrated Taps

This table contains the tap settings from a calibration run.

CECV - Customer Export Curtailment Value

This table contains the CECV values for each half-hour interval of the day in $/MWh. CECVs represent the detriment to all customers from the curtailment of exports from distributed energy resources (DER) due to network limitation. The values represent the cost of curtailing customer exports in $/MWh. It uses the exact same format as the AER table, to allow for 'drag-and-drop' functionality. As of October 2025, the latest values can be found at AER Customer Export Curtailment Values.

Full Table: cecv

CO2 - CO₂ Avoidance Values

This table contains the value of emissions reduction for each half-hour interval of the day. The values represent the cost of CO2 emissions in $/tonne/MWh. It is calculated by taking the emission intensity profile data from the AER (as of October 2025, found here) and multiplying it by a value of CO2 per tonne, either interally agreed on or using an external figure such as the AERs Valuing emissions reduction interim value - May 2024. It uses the same format as the AER emissions intensity table, for ease of calculation.

Full Table: CO2

CVVR

This table contains the CVVR values for each half-hour interval of the day. The values represent the Customer Value of Voltage Reduction in $/MWh. At the moment there is no official published CVVR values, so users will need to determine their own values to use. Talk to Zepben for more information.

Full Table: CVVR

VCR - Values of Customer Reliability

This table contains the Value of Customer Reliability (VCR) values for each half-hour interval in $/MWh. The values represent the value of customer reliability in $/MWh. It uses the same format as the AER CECV table. Currently, time-based VCR values are not widely used, so you may wish to just populate the table with a flat value for each half-hour interval. As of October 2025, the latest VCR values can be found at AER Value of Customer Reliability. Note that the values in the AER report vary by customer segment, which we do not currently support, so you will need to determine an appropriate average value to use.

PQV

This table is used for Calibration. It contains power quality and voltage (PQV) readings for each meter and time interval.

Intervention Tables

Only available for some customers

This feature is only available to certain customers. If you are interested in using this feature, please contact Zepben for more information.

These tables are only required if you are using the Intervention feature. They are used to define the interventions that can be applied to the model, such as changing the load or generation profiles, or applying constraints to the model. See Intervention Options for more details.

Semi-Deprecated Tables

Energy Consumer Meters

This table is used 'under the hood' during the calibration process. It used to be used for manual testing of individual consumer level results, however this functionality has been replaced with the more versatile and easy to use Node Level Results feature (see Configuration - Node Level Results). It is used for allocating meters to specific customers for testing and analysis purposes, over and above the existing measurement zones on a feeder/transformer level. It should be used sparingly and with caution. It must be edited manually for all workflows other than calibration runs, and is intended mainly as a debug tool.
